Flamingo’s Bar & Grille is a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant located minutes from Walt Disney World. We are looking for reliable and motivated Line Cooks who take pride in food quality, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. What You’ll Do

As a Line Cook, you will help deliver consistent, high-quality meals while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen.

Food Preparation & Quality

  • Prepare menu items using standardized recipes and presentations
  • Ensure food quality, portioning, and plating standards are met
  • Assist with prep work for current and upcoming shifts
  • Wrap, label, and date food items properly

Kitchen Operations

  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized station
  • Complete prep lists and freezer pulls for upcoming shifts
  • Ensure kitchen equipment and surfaces remain clean and sanitized
  • Follow FIFO rotation and proper food storage procedures

Safety & Sanitation

  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
  • Complete required HACCP logs
  • Maintain sanitation standards and health code compliance
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude during busy shifts
  • Support team members as needed to keep service running efficiently

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 1–2 years of kitchen experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe preferred)
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and working in a hot kitchen environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made where appropriate.

Work Environment & Expectations

Hospitality operates seven days a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members are expected to arrive on time, ready to work, and maintain professional conduct. All associates must follow JL Hospitality Management policies and safety standards to ensure safe and efficient operations.
