General Manager – Aspen Suites Hotel Juneau

JL Hospitality Management is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead the Aspen Suites Hotel Juneau. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to oversee operations at one of our established properties while helping support the newly renovated Aviator Hotel opening nearby.

The ideal candidate is a strong hospitality leader who thrives in a hands-on environment, understands select-service hotel operations, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while building a strong team culture.

What You’ll Do

Lead Hotel Operations

  • Oversee daily hotel operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Sales
  • Ensure the property consistently meets brand standards and operational excellence
  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and guest-focused environment

Deliver Exceptional Guest Experiences

  • Foster a culture of hospitality and service excellence
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements

Build and Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Recruit, train, and develop department leaders and associates
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development
  • Create a positive and collaborative workplace culture

Drive Financial Performance

  • Manage hotel budgets and financial performance
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, and operating metrics including REVPAR
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability

Sales and Community Engagement

  • Partner with the sales team to drive occupancy and revenue
  • Build relationships with local businesses, travel partners, and community organizations

Compliance and Brand Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and local/state regulations
  • Maintain Marriott brand standards and JL Hospitality Management SOPs

What We’re Looking For

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead teams, build culture, and drive results
  • Strong financial and operational management skills
  • Experience in select-service hotels strongly preferred
  • Previous General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in hotel operations

Education & Experience

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years hotel leadership experience required
  • Demonstrated success managing hotel operations and financial performance
